Cooking Directions:

  1. Every 1 part tapioca, add 6 part water. (100 grams tapioca add 600ml water)
  2. Bring the water to boil and add in 100 grams tapioca.
  3. Let the tapioca float by stirring. Turn the heat to medium-low, start a timer for 15 minutes.
  4. Upon 15 minutes, turn off the heat and cover the pot and steep for 20-22 more minutes. (you can steep for longer if you prefer softer tapioca)
  5. Use a strainer to strain the tapioca.
  6. Rinse with cold water to remove any remaining starch.
  7. Strain any excess water and the tapioca is ready to serve.

 

Suggested Serving & Use:

  • Each serving of cooked tapioca pearls is between 33-50 grams
  • 100 grams dried tapioca varies between 2-3 servings.
  • Suggested Serving sizes: 50 grams for 2 servings, or 33 grams for 3 servings, or if you prefer smaller servings, you can do 25 grams for 4 servings.

 

Preservation Method:

An unopened package should be stored in a dry and cool environment. Seal and refrigerate after opening.

Bobatein Tapioca Pearls are fresh and imported from Taiwan with no additives. You may notice the tapioca pearls crumble if there is too much pressure since it is fresh, handle with care.

The shelf life isn’t as long compared to the ones sold in the supermarket. Our tapioca pearls have a shelf life of up to 6 months and up to 1 year if stored in a cool, dry environment.
